Playlist Retreat 2015 Recap
This week was probably the best week in a lot of folks lives including myself. DJ Jazzy Jeff and his team put a list together of people they wanted to invite to a special 4-day retreat at his home in Delaware. They also invited a photography and video team, a dozen sponsors, the founders of Serato and Mixcloud, reps from Ableton, and so much more. I can’t get over being in the same space with so many of my heroes from Jeff himself to Cash Money, DJ Scratch, Stro Elliot, Tall Black Guy, Z-Trip, Skratch Bastid, Shortkut, Grandtheft, Spinna, DJ Day, Young Guru, James Poyser, Recloose, Lord Finesse, and the list goes on and on. There were workshops on just about everything we need as performers with top dogs from so many companies + demos of new products we’re eager to have like this one. The directors of the DJ AM Documentary even came to give us a private screening of their movie. 4 days of monumental building with the vets has definitely recharged a brother. I made so many new friends and stronger bonds with previous ones. Thank you Jeff. You’ve changed the way I work as an individual and collaborator forever!
