All Together Now In Stores Everywhere!!

Posted by Sonny James under Artists, Philly, Releases, Videos

Well it’s been two years since my crew, Illvibe Collective began working on music for our debut album. 10 years + in the music biz and it took 8 or those years for us to take our production game serious. We’ve been talking about this project for so long and I’m happy to say, it is finally available to the world and the feedback has been amazing. We had an online listening party via ustream on Monday night and it was great be able to share our project with everyone watching to see the love in the chatroom. Big up to Zarinah for hosting it for ill! TV.

All Together Now is classified as a hip-hop & soul project but encompasses so much more. The album features Bahamadia, Hezekiah, Invincible, Rich Medina, Kokayi, John Robinson, Fatin of Kindred The Family Soul, Reef The Lost Cauze and many more.

Here’s the promotional EPK I put together with my man Panek. Check it out. Thank you all for your kind words of support and we look forward to seeing you out next week at our album release party in Philly. It is taking place at Silk City on Tuesday, April 5th with a bunch of special guest performances from folks on the album.

Philly 360 X DJ Culture

Posted by Sonny James under DJs, Philly

This is the first video in a series of clips about the Philadelphia DJ Culture. We discuss our inspirations, what makes Philly special, and some of our favorite places to hang and work in the city.  One love to Maori Holmes and the folks over at Philly 360 for having me involved. Also big up to Ultraviolet, Rich Medina, and King Britt who are also in the video. Check it out.
