Tomorrow night I have the opportunity to join other great DJs at Fluid Nightclub for the Boom Bap party. Boogie Blind from the X-Ecutioners is coming through while he’s on a short break from his world tour with Pharoahe Monch. Also playing will be the Boom Bap crew, Lil’ Dave, Apple Juice, and Case Bloom. It’s sure to be a good time as we explore hip-hop gems from the past and present. RSVP Below.

Folks, we’ve been waiting over 2 years for this night. We’re finally bringing back the party that started it all for Illvibe Collective. Much to respect to all the special guests who came and rocked with us at Aqualounge and the M Room from Low Bee, Prince Paul, DJ Spinna, and Rich Medina to Waajeed, Cosmo Baker, DP One, Cash Money, and many others, we’ve appreciated you coming down to Northern Liberties and Fishtown to rock the house with us. There aren’t many successful parties where the DJs have the liberty to do what they want, musically, for a crowd ready to act a fool. Tonight we begin a new era and with the help of gl Productions, we’re confident that tonight is gonna be a zoo. To give you an idea of what you’re in store for musically, I present volume 4 of A Taste of BODYROCK fresh for 2011 and mixed by Illvibe Collective.

Happy Anniversary to Junior who’s been running the independent Record Breakin music label out of his house for 5 years now. He’s put out some really good tunes from the likes of Coultrain, Anthony Valadez, La Melodia, Lil’ Dave, Joy Jones, Spinnerty and the list goes on. The world would still be in the dark about a lot of these artists if it wasn’t for this man’s hard work. Here’s to 5 years and to 5+ more.
