A while ago. And by “while,” I mean a couple years ago, we recorded a song for The Rootdown.tv compilation featuring Fatnice and A.U.L. P.U.R.P.I.S. of 84. We were talking a lot at the time, about being steadily ignored in Philly even though we were hosting mad parties and releasing multiple mixtapes a year. It seemed like just about everybody was sleeping on us. So we made this joint but only released it on that compilation. We have decided to make it an official release and the song can now be found on iTunes and on our bandcamp music site. Enjoy.

Finally, my heart goes out to my long time friend and colleague, DJ Randy Flash who was caught in the crossfire in North Philly this week. A fuggin idiot, shooting on the street, hit 7 people including Randy. I hear he’s in critical condition and in a coma in the hospital. Please keep him in your thoughts and say a prayer for his recovery. If you know Randy, you know he’s one of the nicest dudes in the music scene in Philly or elsewhere. I hope he pulls through like a warrior.

Tonight I join Philly’s finest once again for the B-Side jam session over at Marbar. This time, Dice Raw of the Money Makin Jam Boys/Roots Crew rocks with us. I’ll be recording the set for the archives and I hope to see you all out. This is a showcase of Philly’s most talented musicians, artists, and DJs. Don’t sleep and then ask “What ever happened to the B-Side jawn?”
This Friday I’ll be back in the spot at Walnut Room for Skeme Richards and once again on Saturday. I love the energy you all keep bringing to that room on a weekly basis.
