Last night, I DJ’d the Philly 360 Reception for The GPMTC. Among the honorees for 2010 are Marsha Ambrosius, Ursula Rucker, Writtenhouse, Marc Byers, Nikki Jean and several others. Glad to see artists and entrepreneurs in Philly being recognized for their hard work and talent.
Tonight we rock at The Trocadero. I’m performing with Hezekiah, Mos Def, De La Soul, Slick, Rick, and Pete Rock. I feel privileged to have a lineup like this in Philly and mad people from all over the world have hit me up asking how they can see a lineup like this in their town. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on making that a reality sometime later this year. I believe the show is sold out already so if you managed to get your ticket, be sure to get there early enough to get a good spot and see our full show. It’s gonna be a fun night!

One love to all the folks in Baltimore that showed us much love and respect the other night when Hez and I opened for De La Soul. De La rocked that show from beginning to end. True vets.
Tomorrow (Saturday), I will be getting down with my mans and nem Mr. Lif, Sammy Slice, Low B, and Elevator Fight at The Piazza Red Bull race jam during the day. It’s sure to be a full day of fun so don’t miss out. I hear Diplo’s doing something at the Mad Decent Mausoleum at some point tomorrow as well. Then we rock shock at Walnut Room once again for our weekly dose of hip-hop, reggae, soul, and plenty of fun. Another Simply Classic mixtape will be on the way soon. Thanks for your attendance on the regular.
This Sunday you can catch me on my latest guilty pleasure, Satellite Radio. Sirius XM subscribers can hear me alongside the homie DJ Jamad on The Afromentals Mixshow. The channel is Sirius 40 and the show airs from 8pm to 10pm. Be on the lookout. Gotta run. Love…

Or is it just my De La Soul?
Feelin a lil better today. I had cabin fever somethin awful last night and forced myself out of bed to go hear Doz and crew do the thing for a lil bit last night at Back 2 Basics. Loud music heals, especially when the tunes are uplifting. Foreal.
This means I should be up to par by tomorrow this time to rock with the fellas at Ram’s Head in MD. Hezekiah, with me behind the turntables and Me So Horny on the sax and trumpet, plus De La Soul means, it should be a bananas night. For those of you asking “is De La still at it?” here’s a new joint “Big Mouf” leaked online recently.
