For those of you who’ve been following my blogs for a few years, you may be familar with with the various mixtapes I’ve done. One of the most fun mixtapes series I’ve taken on is for the Freekugly LIfestyle Brand. We first did Volume 1 in 2006 shortly after the brand launched and there was a ton of positive feedback all over the city. We decided to do Part 2 in 2009 when my long time friend Kariem started rebranding Freekugly and taking things to the next level. Now the brand is rapidly moving, with placements in several boutiques, on Karmaloop and generating interest all over the planet on the web. This weekend I’ll be joining Case Bloom, Lil’ Dave, Apple Juice, and DJ Boogie Blind (X-Men) at Fluid for the Boom Bap party. The Boom Bap crew have been doing the event here and in Nashville for a minute now and from what I hear, it’s always a stone groove. Here’s a lil something to inspire you all for a Boom Bap kind of weekend.
