Peace everyone.

For those of you who’ve been following my blogs for a few years, you may be familar with with the various mixtapes I’ve done. One of the most fun mixtapes series I’ve taken on is for the Freekugly LIfestyle Brand. We first did Volume 1 in 2006 shortly after the brand launched and there was a ton of positive feedback all over the city. We decided to do Part 2 in 2009 when my long time friend Kariem started rebranding Freekugly and taking things to the next level. Now the brand is rapidly moving, with placements in several boutiques, on Karmaloop and generating interest all over the planet on the web. We brought in my Illvibe comrade DJ Phsh and Philadelphia MC and swag expert, The Show to rock out even harder. Fresh out the studio, we bring you FU3, Welcome To Uglyville, The Mixtape.

Audiowear

While browing on Kickstarter I stumbled across this project called Audiowear. Arjen Noordeman and Christie Wright have been working on a line of jewelry that can double as instruments. They’ve even recorded a whole hip-hop album using their necklaces, bracelets, etc. They’re raising money to get the project fully off the ground and release a limited edition vinyl of the album. I thought the idea was fresh and being executed properly so I had to share it.

Vans OTW Launch Today!

Tonight, come through and check out the Vans OTW Party over at UBIQ. Me and the Legendary Chocolate Boy Wonder, Pete Rock will be playing. There is an art exhibitiion and I hear UBIQ is being remodeled for the cause. Definitely gonna be mad fun.

Tomorrow night, you can catch me with Bahamadia at the Summer Solstice at the Kimmel Center. There are a ton of other artists performing and right now the full list escapes me. But we will be playing around 11pm I believe. I hope to see you out. We haven’t rocked in Philly in a minute and I’m not sure when we will be again.

A Day of Ugliness

A few days ago, me and the homies got together for a photo shoot with Freekugly Lifestyle Group. The new season is gonna filled with Ugliness so to speak. A bunch of dope new things from jackets to sweatshirts to skateboard decks, we threw it on while Snapkracker took the shots. Here’s one below. More to come.

Vango Tonight & More…

Tonight you all can join me at Vango at 116 South 18th St. I’ll be holding it down for DJ Aktive while he’s out doing the tour thing with Mario. Get money bro.

This Friday, I’ll be DJing along with the young homie in training, DJ Phsh and TuPhace for the Philadelphia Fashion Week Fall Show. If you were fortunate enough to get tickets, I’ll see you there. Get there early as I start the show off at 4pm with the students’ lines from Philadelphia University.

Speaking of DJ Phsh, SUPERDOPE has returned and is better than ever at the new venue. Thank you dudes for moving the party. I always enjoyed myself but always felt like something was crawling on me when it was happening at ONE. Such a wack venue.
