For those of you who’ve been following my blogs for a few years, you may be familar with with the various mixtapes I’ve done. One of the most fun mixtapes series I’ve taken on is for the Freekugly LIfestyle Brand. We first did Volume 1 in 2006 shortly after the brand launched and there was a ton of positive feedback all over the city. We decided to do Part 2 in 2009 when my long time friend Kariem started rebranding Freekugly and taking things to the next level. Now the brand is rapidly moving, with placements in several boutiques, on Karmaloop and generating interest all over the planet on the web. We brought in my Illvibe comrade DJ Phsh and Philadelphia MC and swag expert, The Show to rock out even harder. Fresh out the studio, we bring you FU3, Welcome To Uglyville, The Mixtape.

My mellow Rich Medina was chosen to represent in the latest New Balance campaign. This man wears Philly on his back. Give respect where it’s due.

While browing on Kickstarter I stumbled across this project called Audiowear. Arjen Noordeman and Christie Wright have been working on a line of jewelry that can double as instruments. They’ve even recorded a whole hip-hop album using their necklaces, bracelets, etc. They’re raising money to get the project fully off the ground and release a limited edition vinyl of the album. I thought the idea was fresh and being executed properly so I had to share it.
