Recently, DJ Lil’ Dave, Panek, and me did an interview with DJ Metrognome for Ruby Hornet which is an e-zine based in the midwest and catering to the areas of Chicago, Indiana, etc. We discussed the history of Illvibe, our place in Philadelphia, upcoming projects and more. Peep the Interview right HERE.

Due to the heavy snow on the east coast, this and last week, this Friday’s event at Saki Lounge will be cancelled. I was looking forward to rocking out with y’all DC. It’s been a minute. Hopefully we’ll be able to reschedule sooner than later when everyone can safely get out the house and move your butts on the dancefloor.
Philly, see you all at Walnut Room this Saturday. Since last week we had to cancel, let’s go harder this week.
So if you’re on the east coast and experiencing this heap of snow we’ve been getting nonstop, I know you’re just as over it as I am. Seriously. Why wasn’t I born and raised in Hawaii? I’m tired of shoveling and sweeping show, scraping ice, and seeing my breath outdoors. Spring can’t come fast enough for the kid. For me, the weather change as well as us wrapping up this Illvibe production album has me excited for the warmer months. Last week I was a guest on the Living Proof Radio Show on Volta Radio. Shout out to Mars 5ive and DJ Ambush for inviting me to be on and showing us mad love on the regular. I had a blast and can’t wait to come back.
This Friday you can check me out in DC for the Enlightenment Party. Shout out to B-Boy Nemesis and Rich Medina. I think we’re gonna have a lot of fun. Chocolate City folks, I hope to see y’all out.
Here’s the impromptu performance I did with Dave P and members of the Philadelphia Orchestra this week in support of PIFA.
Although, it’s a bit hard to see me since I’m black, wearing all black, and tucked in the back, you can still see my hands and hear the cuts. ha! Good enough I guess. Not the best angle visually or sonically but check it.
My hope is that if there is a next time, there will be a better angle for lighting and that we’ll actually get an opportunity to rehearse. Either way, I’m honored to have been apart of the situation and will definitely take part again if invited. Trying to do it all in 2010.
