One love to the folks who went to the Walnut Room expecting me to be rocking the house this past week. My apologies if you did not have a heads up that I would be out of town. This Saturday coming, I’ll be a special guest at Z Bar and my illvibe mans and nem Lil’ Dave will be at the Walnut Room/Alfa. Stop in on him and say whaddup. For the weeks coming in which I’ll be on the road, there will be a bunch of special guests rock shockin in my place on Saturdays so stay tuned for the info.

I’m back from SXSW and I must say as overwhelming as it was, the trip was mad fun. I barely had time to get to most of the performances and DJ sets I wanted to hear. A Big Thanks to the folks who attended the Billboard Showcase we did on Friday night as well as everyone who rocked with us at The Back Alley Social Club on Saturday. It was nice to see so many familiar faces from across the country in one place ready to hear some dope music. And thanks also to everyone who passed off promo CDs. I have joints to listen to for the next couple of weeks so Big Up.

I’ll post pics from the trip soon.  I intended to film footage for ill! TV but it just didn’t pan out that way unfortunately.  I’ll have a much better plan of action for the festival next year and make it happen.  Also, don’t expect to see us at WMC this week as we will not be making it this year.  I have way too much prepping to do for the tour I have coming up starting in a couple weeks.

With all of the traveling coming up in the next couple of months, I hope I get This Guy on at least one of my flights with Mr. Lif.  It would truly make my year. Southwest Airlines is really underrated across the board.  I’ve never had a bad flight with them.  US Airways is a whole different story though. From late flights to mixed up tickets to lost luggage, I’m over it.

One Love to the folks who came out to Electric Soul last night.  If I weren’t playing there, I’d have been at the Walnut Room celebrating with my man Sammy Slice.  Happy Birthday my dude.  This week is pretty hectic so I may not get to post that much but I will be rocking on Thursday night at The Marq in Austin, TX.  A Lil sidebar SXSW jumpoff.  Peep my schedule for full details on that and the other nights I’ll be playing there with my man Lif. If you’re gonna be out and about down there, hit me up. I’ll have some promo items with me. Chea.

We haven’t done Electric Soul in a couple of months. This Sunday we return and rock the usual mix of House, Broken Beat, Electro, 80s Soul, and Boogie all on four turntables.  We love doing this party because we get to play joints we often don’t get to even pack in the record bag. Me Lil’ Dave and Skipmode will be supplying the grooves.  Y’all will be supplying the energy on the dancefloor.  Can’t wait to hang with you all.

And of course the Walnut Room on Saturday, we rock on and on. Last week, the party was insane.  Nonstop dancing.  I love y’all for that energy each week.

Salute the Spectrum in Philadelphia.  Tonight they are having the last event before tearing it down to replace it with a more sophisticated entertainment complex.  Years of memories in that place from The Jacksons’ Victory Tour to countless Sixers Games, to Power House in the 90s to Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation Show.  I’ve enjoyed many big events there and will miss it.  I wonder what they’ll do with Rocky’s statue.
