So far, the holidays have been a blast. Been kicking it the whole time with my son. Spending a lot of time with famalam and just overall eating and drinking the days away. Been relaxing for the most part. So how did I end up in the emergency room last night? Well during one of my wrestling sessions with my son, I suddenly couldn’t hear a damn thing in my right ear. Obviously, this was devastating considering how I make my living and spend 98% of my time so as much as I resist doctors and overpriced hospitals, I had to take the trip because I could not risk losing my hearing on a “too ornery to get help,” technicality.
So after a couple hours getting examined we realize there is a earring stud lodged in my ear canal. Fortunately the stem was pointed away from my eardrum so there was no damage done and the stud came out easily. So it all ended well thankfully but the fear of hearing loss that me and Panek have discussed for years seemed like a reality for me last night for a brief moment.

Tayyib, Matt, and everyone involved over at Two One Five Magazine sure had their work cut out for them when they embarked on the project of presenting this publication to the country. And all of their hard work paid off. The magazine is such a great read. So many magazines on shelves these days are full of fluff and ad space but this mag has some seriously noteworthy pieces including an article on the Move organization and a piece on last season’s fashion trend of skulls and bones which covers the whole background of the image and symbolism.
These cats are really doing it and I’m glad to be in the mix of it!
Check some photos of the Launch party below for a look at the festivities. It was a stone groove!

Okay, So I must admit. I’ve been slacking on the writing of updates. Been playing so many gigs and putting in a ton of hours in the studio. Got a few projects in the works, which I’ll give y’all updates on in the near future.
You can catch me on New Year’s Eve with my mellows Mike Nyce, Ultraviolet, Rob Paine, and Kenny Meez at Fluid. This will be the jumpoff for those who want to hear some non-typical music to get you feeling good into the New Year. We’ll be recording the set, so be prepared to hear plenty of new joints, exclusives, and records you haven’t heard in yeeeeeaaars.
Other than that, I’ve been busy over at my man Sadiki’s new restaurant in Mt. Airy on Thursdays and at the Arts Garage every Saturday.
Also Big shout to Bobbito who gave me a shout out for having my sneaker game correct over at Bounce Magazine last week. If anybody knows what time it is in the sneaker store, he does so I’m honored for the mention. Crazy shout to DJ Spinna as well who killed the Stevie Wonder Tribute party in DC With Bob recently.
More updates coming soon. Working in the studio with DJ Stylus now…
