Yoooo,
This weekend was a doozie. Working double shifts everyday from Thursday to Sunday for Tag Records then playing the after party for the Neighborhood 2 Neighborhood Chaka Khan performance. Oh yeah, I apologize to any readers who were looking forward to seeing me perform with Hezekiah. Since their entire production was running over 3 hours behind, they decided to cut our set as well as Bilal’s and a few others to accommodate Chaka on time. It was wack to have us waiting all day in the sun listening to openers and then not even allow us to get on stage but hey “that’s the way the cookie crumbles” (c) Bruce Almighty.
The jam session at LeRoy’s made me feel like I was in 1998 Philly. Big up to all the folks to came through to bless the mic including Jaguar Wright, Black Ice, Chinah Blac, and Hezekiah.
Today, I kept running around to tie up loose ends before leaving tomorrow early for Indianapolis. To any folks in the area, come on out and check us. We don’t come to that particular market frequently so I’m looking forward to it.
Tonight, I ate a fish platter and read that the Million DJ March in DC was a bust. Not surprised.
Then exchanged video links with some friends. This one is an oldie but goodie.
