The other night I went to see Inglorious Basterds by Quinten Tarantino. I thought the film was incredible. It is a mostly fictitious but entertaining take on WWII starring Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, and BJ Novak (The Office). It really reminded me of how significant the Hitler era was to the history of the world. Some of the cinematography is gruesome but I recommend you all see it asap. It’s a beautiful film.
This weekend, I’ll be doing a double header at The Walnut Room. Starting at 8pm we will be “Remembering Kenny” with Lady Alma and celebrating Leon’s 40th Birthday. There will performances and free food served. This is a party with the purpose of generating money for the Kenny Caldwell Scholarship Fund so donations are strongly suggested until 11pm. We hope to see you there. It’s been a while since I’ve had the pleasure of doing an event with Alma so it will be special.

I just stumbled upon this tribute video for the late DJ AM which was shown at his memorial that took place at the Palladium in Los Angeles. Very well done.
