With that said, I must say a big thank you to King Britt and Dozia for having me at the legendary Back 2 Basics party last night. What a great night! It felt so great to be at home in Philly at a place like Silk City that has become like a home away from home for so many of us. The Back 2 Basics Band was in rare form last night as Chuck Treece, Anthony Tibbs, Tony Catastrophy, Tim Motzer, Questlove, Derrick from The Goats. Jafar Barron, and few others kept the crowd dancing after my house set. Man, what a blast. Can’t wait to do it again. Big up to Philly! It felt like it was 1995 at one point in that place last night.

Tomorrow Alex from Jazzanova comes to Philly to bring a piece of Berlin’s heavy Nu Jazz Catalogue with him! Can’t miss it.
