Happy New Year everybody.

I hope you brought the new year in with ones you love or at least ones you like enough to drink with. I was DJing over at Patou for a (pause) intimate evening with 12 Pack from I Love New York. While he played his DJ set, me and my sis toasted at the champagne fountain at 12am and brought in the new year with a good meal and talks about what’s to come of 09. The staff and management at Patou were all super cool and polite. It was a reminder that there are some good people still in the club business. It was a real pleasure rocking with them. To all my folks that sent text messages and emails wishing a happy holiday, thanks and if I didn’t respond, please know that I wasn’t being rude. Working during the holidays makes it a lil difficult to be glued to my phone around the clock.

My son and I spent half the week in DC relaxing and sight seeing. I got to catch up with the famalam down there and get a couple good meals in my life thanks to the homie Evelyn. Now it’s back in Philly, business as usual and prepping for SXSW and WMC 09. Last year I was on tour and couldn’t make either conference so I plan to play extra hard this year at both.

I wonder how many times I’ll write the date as 2008 on checks before it sinks in that this is a new year… Anyhow, let’s make this year as productive and abundant as possible. Rap in a minute.
